About the Role

The Alfred Health Clinician Research Fellowship is a prestigious opportunity for emerging allied health leaders to advance their research careers and contribute to the development of evidence-based interventions that keep people out of hospital.

The focus of this fellowship is on funding research efforts to develop and/or scale up allied health-led interventions that address the needs of patients and communities. As a Clinician Research Fellow, you will have the opportunity to work on a cutting-edge project, the Evaluating Allied Health-led BED Substitution models of care – Which treatments, when and for whom – cAring for Patients at home (AH BED SWAP) program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in a clinical setting, including obtaining ethics and governance approvals, data collection and management, and writing for publication.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based interventions that address the needs of patients and communities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to advance the development of allied health-led interventions.
  • Contribute to the development of research proposals and secure funding for future research projects.
Requirements
  • PhD qualification in a relevant allied health discipline.
  • Full registration with AHPRA or eligibility for membership of the relevant professional body.
  • Sound analytical skills with an ability to communicate complex information clearly.
  • High-level organisational skills with the ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and initiate and follow-up actions.
  • Experience in qualitative and/or quantitative analysis of data and synthesis of findings from published studies.
