About the Role

As Operations Manager at Eva Downs Station, you will be responsible for driving day-to-day operations across livestock, land, and infrastructure. This role requires strong leadership skills, as you will be overseeing staff welfare and fostering a positive working environment.

  • Allocate daily duties and oversee work plans to ensure smooth operations.
  • Manage staff welfare and foster a positive working environment.
  • Lead the selection, onboarding, and training of station staff and contractors.
  • Oversee performance reviews and support staff development.
  • Contribute to livestock budgeting, herd sales, and purchase decisions.
  • Maintain accurate records in AACo's livestock information system.
  • Manage environmental resources and maintain paddock records.
  • Prepare monthly reports for senior management.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A first aid certification, driver's license, and relevant certifications.
  • Experience with Stockfusion/StockMate, Microsoft Office, and Quicken Financial Package.
  • A strong background in livestock operations, pasture planning, and water resource management.
  • Knowledge of market specifications and safety systems.
  • The ability to implement a Safety Management System on site.
  • A solid understanding of market specifications and the ability to draft cattle accordingly.
  • Solid knowledge of company policies and procedures.
