Financial Crime Risk Management Leader

The role of the Senior Manager Risk and Control is to lead teams that establish and action business unit level controls to manage financial crime risk.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing risk management frameworks to achieve better risk and compliance outcomes

  • Developing and championing a Continuous Improvement culture within the team, identifying opportunities to optimise processes, and leading projects impacting the operational environment

  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, adhering to policies and procedures, and applying sound risk management practices

  • Developing a high-performing team through coaching and mentoring, and ensuring adequate training is in place

To be successful in this role, you will require experience in operational risk management and compliance, preferably within banking, financial services, or law enforcement. A strong understanding of financial crime risk management frameworks, including AML/CTF, Sanctions, and ABC expertise, is essential.

Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills are also required, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
