We are seeking an experienced WHS Assistant to join our client's team for a period of 2 months with a possibility of extension. The successful candidate will play a proactive role in developing and finalising WHS policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement WHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
- Collaborate closely with the WHS Advisor and WHS Officer to achieve individual, team, and organisational WHS goals.
- Support and mentor staff to adhere to WHS standards and meet legislative requirements.
- Aid the People and Culture team in meeting WHS compliance and training needs.
- Contribute to the rollout of new policies and procedures.
- Assist with internal and external WHS audits and report the findings.
- A qualification in WHS is essential.
- Holds an unencumbered MR Australian drivers license.
- Work Zone Traffic Management Accreditation.
- White Card.
- Experience and knowledge of depot operations.
- Experience in the safe use and maintenance of equipment, machinery, and tools.
- Experience in WHS risk assessment and hazard management, particularly in an outdoor operational environment.
