WHS Safety Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated WHS Advisor to support our Not-for-Profit organisation based on the City fringe.
This role plays a key part in reducing workplace risks, supporting staff, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage Work Health and Safety objectives to ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide expert safety advice and support to ensure positive WHS outcomes.
- Assist in the development and delivery of WHS initiatives to raise awareness and promote safer working environments.
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and audits to maintain safety standards.
- Support the Return to Work (RTW) process for injured workers and assist with rehabilitation plans.
- Compile and analyse WHS data for reporting purposes.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a Cert IV in Work Health and Safety.
- Proven experience ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of WHS legislation, risk management, and safety standards.
- Ability to advise and support staff across different communication and support needs.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and computer skills, particularly in MS Office.
- A current driver's license.
