Job Title: Chief Design Officer

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead the design and delivery of energy projects across Victoria and South Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage designs across multiple projects for utilities and private clients within the energy industry.
  • Be heavily involved in writing bids and proposals, working with multi-disciplinary practice leaders on strategic approaches to bids.
  • Work closely with clients, developing business, delivering projects, and managing RFQs while liaising with a team of engineers on projects.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements by implementing best practices in design quality control, risk management, and sustainability.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years' experience working in the energy sector, preferably as a consultancy or contractor.
  • Engineering degree or extensive relevant experience, with appropriate accreditation/memberships (RPEV, CPEng).
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
  • Proven knowledge of Australian regulatory standards and industry-specific codes.
  • Prior experience in writing bids and tenders for large projects in the energy sector.
