Join our search for a Senior Specialty Underwriter, East role that will reshape the future of insurance.

We are seeking an experienced professional to apply their knowledge of habitational insurance products and principles in next-generation risk assessment.

The ideal candidate will engage in cutting-edge technology to assess risk, price, and tailor coverage/terms to grow and manage a profitable book of business.

About This Role
  • Establish and shape our presence in the light-nondamitted market.
  • Quote and release new light nonadmitted business, including referred business and those seeking changes beyond user thresholds.
  • Analyze and approve policy changes, ensuring compliance with guidelines and regulations.
  • Maintain knowledge of E&S state insurance regulations and ISO rules within your territory.
Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in next-generation risk assessment using mega data, AI, and curiosity.
  • Modernize underwriting with cutting-edge technology to assess risk, price, and tailor coverage/terms.
  • Analyze and approve policy changes, ensuring compliance with guidelines and regulations.
  • Maintain knowledge of E&S state insurance regulations and ISO rules within your territory.
  • Communicate openly and supportively with team members and partners.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of Habitational underwriting/insurance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of habitational insurance products and principles.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Retail agency relationship experience preferred.
  • Curiosity, hardworking, self-accountable, positive attitude, humble, and fun.
  • Openness to sharing and receiving opinions.
  • Passion for knowledge sharing and learning.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
