Ecological Restoration Specialist

About the Role:

This is a hands-on role that involves supervising and managing bush regeneration volunteers, as well as on-ground ecological restoration functions.

  • Conducting ecological restoration practices in natural reserves
  • Overseeing contractors involved in ecological restoration projects
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervising and managing ecological restoration volunteers
  • Coordinating volunteer programs and activities
  • Assisting with conservation and land management tasks
  • Ensuring safety and adherence to work health and safety practices
Requirements:
  • Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management (Natural Area Restoration)
  • Experience coordinating volunteer programs and activities
  • ACDC Spray Licence or Chemcert
  • Strong plant identification skills for native and exotic species
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
