Job Title: Senior Planning Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Senior Planning Consultant to join our team in Brisbane. This role is ideal for a planner who excels at managing complex projects, mentoring junior staff, and developing strong client relationships.

About the Role:
  • This position involves leading a variety of planning projects from start to finish, including the preparation and submission of development applications for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
  • You will provide expert planning advice to clients, from initial feasibility studies and due diligence to detailed strategic planning and policy analysis.
  • Your key responsibilities include building and maintaining strong relationships with a diverse client base, government authorities, and other project stakeholders.
  • Ensuring the delivery of high-quality planning reports and advice, with a strong understanding of the Queensland planning framework and local government schemes, is also a crucial aspect of this role.
Key Qualifications:
  • A tertiary qualification in Urban and Regional Planning or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience (typically 7+ years) in town planning, with a significant portion of this gained in a consultancy environment in Queensland.
  • A proven track record of successfully managing complex development applications and providing strategic planning advice.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and report-writing skills.
  • A natural leader with a passion for mentoring others.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented individual with a collaborative spirit.
