About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Travel Claims Consultant to join our team at Gallagher Bassett. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing a cost-effective, professional, and customer-focused general insurance claims service relating to the processing of Travel Claims.

You will play a critical role in managing a unique portfolio of Motor Vehicle claims for a prominent client, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring timely and accurate claims resolution. Your expertise in travel insurance claims handling, policy wording, and guidelines will be essential in assessing and settling claims efficiently.

Your Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of Motor Vehicle claims for a prominent client, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external partners, including Commonwealth Government Agencies.
  • Assess travel insurance claims, applying policy wording and guidelines to ensure accurate and efficient claims resolution.
  • Raise payments and settle claims in accordance with client service instructions, company guidelines, and delegated authority.
  • Resolve complaints in a fair and timely manner, adhering to company guidelines.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and recognize potential fraud/recovery indicators for claims where applicable.
  • Maintain attention to detail, ensuring data integrity and accurate fee invoicing and client bank account reconciliation.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual who possesses:

  • Australian Citizenship (essential for Commonwealth Security Clearance).
  • Travel claims handling or general claims management experience.
  • Passion for taking ownership of claims and driving results.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, spoken, and written communication skills.
