Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Personal Care Worker to join our team at our Moonee Ponds home on a part-time basis. As a Personal Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing personal care and support to our residents, enabling them to maintain their independence and dignity.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to residents, including assistance with daily living activities, medication management, and mobility.
- Assist residents in completing activities according to their individual care plans, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
- Contribute to the delivery of hotel services, including checking residents' daily menu requirements, attending to meal preparation and delivery.
Requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent qualification, with a strong focus on medication management and care planning.
- Previous experience in aged care, with a proven track record of providing high-quality care and support.
- Medication experience and medication competency, with a strong understanding of medication management principles.
- Basic computer skills, with the ability to use electronic care planning systems and other software applications.
