Conference & Events Coordinator Role

We are seeking a skilled Conference and Events Coordinator to join our dynamic team at the Oaks Sunshine Coast Oasis Resort. This exciting role involves managing the entire event lifecycle, from initial inquiries and proposals to contract management, planning, and delivery.

As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of event planning, including booking spaces, arranging catering and supplies, and ensuring seamless execution of conferences and events. You will work closely with clients, internal departments, and external vendors to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering memorable events and has excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills. If you are a motivated and organized individual with a keen eye for detail, we would love to hear from you

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the full event cycle from enquiries and quotes to contracts, planning, and delivery
  • Coordinate all aspects of event planning including BEOs, contracts, invoicing, vendor liaison, and internal departments
  • Negotiate contracts, book spaces, and coordinate food, beverage, and supplies
Qualifications and Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and requirements:

  • 6+ months' experience in a similar role within tourism or hospitality
  • Strong sales and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail, and time management
  • Problem-solving ability and a collaborative mindset
  • Professional presentation and flexibility to work weekends/public holidays
