We are seeking a highly skilled Security Operations Lead to join our client\u2019s growing team in Adelaide. As a subject matter expert, you will provide security leadership and advice to the organization, across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) programs to ensure compliance with international security standards and regulations.
  • Develop, maintain, and evolve security policies, procedures, and run-books, ensuring alignment with platform growth, emerging threats, new technologies, and market expansion.
  • Implement strategies, tools, and processes to identify and mitigate security threats proactively.
  • Establish and maintain observability of system endpoints and intruder detection systems to manage threats effectively.
  • Facilitate cross-departmental coordination for security activities, including training and development, IT, support, HR, sales, internal systems, and platform operations.
  • Lead and manage responses to security incidents, including conducting forensic analysis and ensuring effective containment, removal, and recovery of threats.
Requirements
  • A tertiary degree in IT, business, or a relevant discipline, or industry experience with similar certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA).
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., SOC2, NIST, GDPR, ISO27001).
  • Proven experience in cloud security, particularly with AWS or Azure.
  • Hands-on experience with security tools like Rapid7, Nessus, and Splunk.
  • Familiarity with Dev Ops practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Ability to perform threat modeling, risk assessment, and vulnerability testing.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental security coordination.
