Position Overview: The Lead Specialist in Commercial Strategies for Climate Solutions is tasked with enhancing customer engagement and driving revenue growth within S&P Global's Climate Solutions and Energy Transition sectors. This role necessitates seamless collaboration with various teams including Commercial, Marketing, Client Services, and Product Development.
Location: Melbourne / Perth, Australia
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance Net Annual Contract Value (ACV) for Climate Solutions and Energy Transition services.
- Ensure exceptional customer experiences for clients and prospects in the Oceania region.
- Develop a robust pipeline of opportunities within the Energy Transition market across diverse client segments.
- Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and senior stakeholders to maximize service value.
- Conduct client meetings and deliver presentations that effectively communicate the advantages of our offerings.
- Work collaboratively with Sales Teams and account managers to ensure coordinated presentations and engagements.
- Generate innovative ideas through client feedback to inform product and content strategies.
- Engage directly with clients and represent the company at hosted events.
Understanding Client Needs:
- Comprehend the intricate relationships and information needs within a diverse customer base.
- Grasp the structure and objectives of the sales organization and channels.
- Contribute to account management planning and execution, ensuring deliverables are met and exceeded.
- Utilize market insights to guide Product Development and Marketing strategies, ensuring optimal client solutions.
Driving Sales Growth:
- Identify new client opportunities while also nurturing existing client relationships.
- Coordinate with commodity specialists to promote Climate Solutions across various markets.
Market Engagement and Relationship Building:
- Strengthen relationships with customers and channel partners.
- Travel for client engagements and attend relevant conferences and events to promote our offerings.
- Support collaborative initiatives within S&P Global in the Energy Transition and ESG sectors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated passion for energy, commodities, and the transition to sustainable practices.
- Exceptional presentation skills with a proven track record of engaging C-Level stakeholders.
- Strong background in solution selling, maximizing customer value through strategic account planning.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on relationship building.
- Willingness to travel 20-30% within the designated territory.
- Ability to independently acquire knowledge of industry trends and competitive landscape.
