We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Defence Specialist to drive the evolution of our Detection and Response (DART) capability. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of cyber defence and contribute to the development of our organisation's security posture.

This role requires strong technical expertise in threat intelligence, detection engineering, incident management, and forensics. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of the cyber threat landscape, including malware families, indicators, TTPs (tools, tactics, techniques, procedures).

The successful candidate will lead the evolution of our DART capability, integrating it with broader cyber defence functions. They will also manage cyber security incident response activities, developing strategies for containment and rapid resolution.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the development of our Defensive Cyber Security capability, supporting business cases for further investment.
  • Driving the continued improvement of our cyber threat detection capability, ensuring it remains aligned with evolving threats.
  • Fostering a culture of excellence, integrity, and professionalism, promoting high standards in cyber security across the organisation.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Cyber Security, or related fields.
  • Strong technical expertise in Python, automation, and engineering deployment pipelines.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence stakeholders, driving effective outcomes.
