English Classroom Teacher Opportunity

St Joseph's Catholic College, East Gosford is seeking a passionate and skilled English Classroom Teacher for a temporary, part-time opportunity for the duration of the 2025 school year.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly effective, skilled classroom practitioner committed to the ethos of the Catholic School. The successful candidate will have experience in teaching Stage 4, Stage 5 and Stage 6 English, and be able to contribute to the school's Continuous Improvement Cycle and student achievement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach English to students in Stage 4, Stage 5 and Stage 6
  • Contribute to the school's Continuous Improvement Cycle and student achievement
  • Apply sound pedagogical practices to create a motivating and engaging learning environment
  • Analyse and reflect on student learning data to ensure learning growth for all students
  • Manage and facilitate safe and supportive learning environments
  • Contribute to the broader extracurricular aspects of school life as an active member of the school community
  • Work collaboratively as part of a dynamic professional learning community
Requirements
  • 4 year training qualification or enrolled to undertake further study that will provide a four year trained qualification
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic professional learning community
  • Proficient in the use of technology to enhance student learning
