Religious Education Teacher Opportunity at St Joseph's Catholic College

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Religious Education Teacher to join our team at St Joseph's Catholic College. About the Role

This temporary, full-time opportunity is commencing in Term 1 2025, and we are looking for a highly effective and committed teacher who can contribute to our school's Continuous Improvement Cycle. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Junior Religious Education and a strong understanding of pedagogical practices that promote student engagement and learning growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver engaging Religious Education lessons to students in Junior classes
  • Develop and implement effective assessment and evaluation strategies to measure student learning
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the school's Continuous Improvement Cycle and promote student achievement
  • Provide a safe and supportive learning environment that caters to the needs of all learners
Requirements
  • Qualifications to teach Junior Religious Education is essential
  • Qualifications to teach Senior Religious Education is desirable
  • Proven ability to apply sound pedagogical practices to create a motivating and engaging learning environment
  • Capacity to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic professional learning community
  • Proficient in the use of technology to enhance student learning
