We are seeking a skilled Reliability Engineer to join our team at Glencore. As a key member of our Mechanical Maintenance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our copper smelter operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and analyze downtime and time usage data to identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and other stakeholders to develop engineering solutions to repetitive failures and other operational issues
- Work closely with mechanical and refractory teams to ensure furnace rebricks meet quality and inspection standards
- Prioritize and recommend improvement projects, providing justification and project management support
- Implement and monitor the performance of engineering solutions
- Prepare monthly reports for senior management
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- Minimum 2-5 years' experience in heavy industry
- Refractory knowledge and experience is advantageous
- Experience and training in condition monitoring, root cause analysis, and asset management
- Mechanical knowledge and understanding of conveyors, pumps, agitators, and hydraulic drive systems
- Computer Management Maintenance Systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite knowledge, with CAD experience a plus
