Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced event professional to join our external communications team at ASC.

The Communications Advisor – Events role involves delivering engaging corporate events, coordinating trade show participation, managing visits to our facilities, and supporting the wider external communications function nationwide.

About ASC

ASC is Australia's sovereign submarine company responsible for sustaining the nation's six Collins Class submarines. We play a critical role in Australia's national security by providing an agile and potent submarine capability for the Royal Australian Navy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate external events and trade show participation, including project management, scheduling, branding, logistics, promotion, merchandise, and stakeholder liaison.
  • Coordinate visits to ASC's facilities, including supporting administration activities.
  • Coordinate and control corporate communications material, collateral, and merchandise.
  • Coordinate ASC sponsorships and other engagements with external organisations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 2-3 years' experience working in an events or visits management role, preferably in a government, defence, or large corporate organisation.
  • Be able to travel interstate and willing to work out of hours if required.
  • Excellent time management, organisational skills, and attention to detail.
  • The ability to establish and maintain quality working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
