Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Technical Services Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about delivering best practice blast engineering solutions to mining and quarrying operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional technical services in the field, as demonstrated by customer feedback. They will also offer innovative engineering support to achieve customer design objectives, contribute written engineering support to tenders and proposals, and develop quality documents such as Mining and Quarry Management Plans and Blasting Methodologies.

Key responsibilities include delivering blast engineering solutions, providing technical services, offering engineering support, contributing to tender documents, developing quality documents, applying survey techniques, monitoring and reporting blasting results, managing opportunities for blasting improvement, presenting analytical data to customers, and expanding selected technical services skills through training and mentoring senior shot firers.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  1. Technical consultancy experience in blast design and MHF Operations.
  2. A tertiary education in a Mining related degree or equivalent.
  3. A Qualified Shot Firer License.
  4. 5+ years' experience in a similar role in the mining and/or quarrying industry.
  5. Ability to obtain national police check clearance and possess an Australian Open Class Manual Drivers License.
