About the RoleAs a Payroll Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our payroll function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees, adhering to relevant legislation and organisational policies.
- Maintain and update payroll records, including leave and superannuation contributions.
- Provide support with payroll reporting and reconciliation tasks as required.
- Offer prompt assistance with payroll-related enquiries from staff and resolve issues effectively.
- Collaborate with the Accounting & Finance team to achieve seamless financial operations.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives within payroll operations.
The Ideal Candidate
- 3-5 years experience in Australian payroll processing within a professional setting is essential.
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, including superannuation and taxation.
- Attention to detail and high-level accuracy in data entry and record-keeping are paramount.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle queries effectively.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite is necessary.
- Ability to work a Thursday, Friday and Monday week is mandatory.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive information.
