We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Specialist to join our team at Lockheed Martin Australia. As a Security Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our sensitive information and government and defence classified assets.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise with and work closely with Information Systems Security staff on facility changes to ensure the security of our classified facilities.
- Apply security facility access measures across the classified facilities to ensure the protection of sensitive information.
- Ensure all local security policies and procedures are being adhered to across all facilities to maintain a high level of security.
- Manage and control classified holdings in site security containers, including A and B class containers, to prevent unauthorized access.
- Provide support to programs that have specific security requirements to ensure compliance with defence security policy.
- Manage personnel clearance requirements to ensure all staff have the necessary clearance to access classified information.
- Ensure security systems and container maintenance requirements are managed and provide administrative management to applied security alarm and access systems.
- Assist corporate security and regional security representatives with the development and update of crisis management planning and execution for the Canberra office.
- Knowledge of the use and purpose of security classifications and categorisation guides.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience/exposure to a similar role in defence or government as a security officer.
- Relevant experience in defence security processes and protocols.
- Security risk management experience or qualifications.
- Completion of DSD security officers course.
- Experience in applications of facility certification and accreditation activities.
- Experience working to defence security policy requirements, processes, and tools.
- Defence security systems management.
- COMSEC – experience or training in the following:
- CARDS (Defence) & Taclane (General Dynamics via IASPO) training.
- Custodian course.
- Taclane training.
- Cryptographic briefings (ASD approved).
Applicants must hold a current CoA NV1 security clearance.
Employment may be contingent on the satisfactory result of criminal and/or other background screens, which require the collection and transfer of personal information.
