Job Title: Procurement & Insurance Manager

We are seeking an experienced Procurement & Insurance Manager to lead our procurement strategy and insurance program. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring cost-effective, compliant, and risk-managed operations that support business objectives and long-term stability.

This is a mid-senior level position that requires a high degree of commercial acumen and negotiation skills, as well as experience managing supplier contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Procurement Strategy:
    • Develop and implement procurement strategies and frameworks that align with the organisation's objectives and deliver value for money across key categories such as fleet, fuel, PPE, travel and site services.
    • Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including supplier selection, tender processes, contract negotiation, and performance management.
    • Ensure procurement processes are compliant with policies, are cost-effective, and support operational continuity.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
    • Identify opportunities to drive cost efficiencies, sustainability, and innovation in the supply chain via procurement.
  • Property Lease Management:
    • Negotiate property leases, renewals, compliance, and exit planning to align with operational needs and finance goals.
  • Insurance Management:
    • Lead the development and maintenance of the organisation's general insurance portfolio, including property, liability, motor, and marine.
    • Ensure appropriate levels of insurance cover are in place across the organisation and meet stakeholder requirements.
    • Manage relationships with brokers and insurers; oversee policy renewals, claims management, and incident reporting.
    • Provide insurance advice and support to other business units as required.
    Requirements:
    • 7+ years' experience in procurement and insurance, ideally within transport, warehousing, or logistics industries.
    • Proven experience managing complex lease negotiations.
    • A solid understanding of contract law and insurance practices.
    • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, as well as experience managing supplier contracts.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.
    • High level of integrity and attention to detail.
