About this role:
Ultrasound Services SpecialistThis position involves working closely with experienced professionals to deliver supervised ultrasound services while pursuing a recognized postgraduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound.
- Perform ultrasound assessments, interventions, and evaluations within established clinical protocols and under supervision.
- Manage allocated workloads, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate patient records.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and complete mandatory training.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of clinical practices and protocols.
- Assist in quality improvement and research initiatives within the department.
The ideal candidate is motivated, patient-focused, and eager to grow in medical imaging. You have strong communication skills and can work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements- An undergraduate degree in Health Science (e.g., Degree in Applied Science - Medical Imaging).
- Eligibility for enrollment into Postgraduate Qualification in Ultrasound (recognized by ASAR).
- If Base Qualification is Medical Imaging - Must also possess AHPRA registration.
- A Radiation Use License issued by Queensland Health - Radiation Health.
- A commitment to safety, quality, and continuous learning.
- A willingness to travel across Metro South locations for work and training purposes.
