About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our friendly, supportive, and positive team in Camperdown. As a Residential Support Worker, you will be an active participant in enhancing the lives of adults living with disabilities in a residential setting.
You will provide person-centered support that caters to the unique needs, preferences, and goals of each resident, promoting their independence and ensuring their overall well-being. Your presence will bring comfort and confidence to those you care for.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Support: Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Create a Vibrant Living Environment: Plan and facilitate recreational and social activities that encourage participation and meaningful interactions.
- Be a Compassionate Listener: Provide emotional support and maintain a clean and organized living space for residents.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Document daily activities, progress, and incidents clearly and concisely.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have or be willing to obtain the following:
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- NDIS Workers Orientation Module
- Valid Australian Driver's License
- Victorian Working with Children Check (employee status)
- Current CPR & First Aid certificate
- Qualification in Disability, Community Services, Social Work or equivalent (desirable)
