Residential Support Worker

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our friendly, supportive, and positive team in Camperdown. As a Residential Support Worker, you will be an active participant in enhancing the lives of adults living with disabilities in a residential setting.

You will provide person-centered support that caters to the unique needs, preferences, and goals of each resident, promoting their independence and ensuring their overall well-being. Your presence will bring comfort and confidence to those you care for.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Support: Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Create a Vibrant Living Environment: Plan and facilitate recreational and social activities that encourage participation and meaningful interactions.
  • Be a Compassionate Listener: Provide emotional support and maintain a clean and organized living space for residents.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Document daily activities, progress, and incidents clearly and concisely.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have or be willing to obtain the following:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • NDIS Workers Orientation Module
  • Valid Australian Driver's License
  • Victorian Working with Children Check (employee status)
  • Current CPR & First Aid certificate
  • Qualification in Disability, Community Services, Social Work or equivalent (desirable)
