We are seeking a passionate and experienced professional to join our team in a challenging yet rewarding role.

As a Housing Weekend Activities Support Worker, you will play a vital part in ensuring the health, wellbeing, and safety of our clients. You will respond promptly and professionally to emerging crises and maintain accurate administration notes to ensure seamless transitions.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will be confident in their ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to client safety concerns in a timely and efficient manner
  • Provide on-call support to clients
  • Offer administrative support to ensure smooth operations
  • Liaise with external parties as required
  • Engage with clients to foster a sense of safety and belonging
  • Facilitate targeted child and family programs to promote positive outcomes

Requirements:

  • Current Certificate III or IV in Social Work, Human Services, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and issues
  • Experience in managing complex situations and resolving conflicts
  • Demonstrated ability to work sensitively with women and children
  • Valid Police Check and Working with Children's Card (Blue Card)
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
