Senior Specialist Family Violence Practitioner

About the RoleThe successful candidate will provide crisis intervention, risk and needs assessments, and safety planning for victim-survivors of family violence. They will facilitate warm referrals, assist police engagement, and promote understanding of gender, power, and control dynamics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide crisis intervention, risk and needs assessments, and safety planning for victim-survivors of family violence.
- Facilitate warm referrals, assist police engagement, and promote understanding of gender, power, and control dynamics.
- Identify the person most in need of protection, hold perpetrators accountable, and strengthen collaboration across police and specialist services.
This role requires strong leadership experience in community services, preferably in family violence, with a minimum of 3 years experience within Family Violence in client-facing positions. The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Social Work or related fields and possess knowledge of the issues in the lives of women and children who are experiencing or recovering from family violence.
