Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Building Structures Manager to lead our Building Structures Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the management and strategic direction of the group, ensuring the delivery of high-quality projects while maintaining a strong focus on financial performance, QA adherence, and staff morale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage current and future workloads within the Building Structures Group to achieve financial targets and ensure high staff morale.
  • Support and guide Project Leads, Engineers, and Graduate Engineers to enable them to perform successfully at all levels.
  • Ensure the Building Structures Group maintains an appropriate level of service to key Clients.
  • Design, documentation, and construction phase activities, including project review, liaison with client and consultant team, liaison with authorities, reporting, contract administration, and quality audits.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and engage with discipline colleagues across ANZ and globally.
  • Adhere to professional standards, ethics, and Stantec quality procedures.
  • Contribute to our company culture.
  • Maintain direct project involvement through project management of projects.
  • Participate in and contribute to marketing and business development, including leading the submission of proposals.
  • Be proactive in working with and seeking cross-sell opportunities between other Buildings service lines and other Stantec Business lines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer and ability to obtain RPEQ.
  • Previous experience in a Consulting environment within the Building services industry.
  • Experience in the management of project delivery teams.
  • Experience in the delivery of projects through Project Management principles.
  • Experience in leading and preparing Proposal/Pursuits.
  • Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards.
  • Competence and effort in managing risk exposure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
