Position Overview
As the Lead Specialist in Procurement and Supply Chain Improvement, you will spearhead a team of three project managers, ensuring the effective execution of initiatives within set timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of procurement and supply chain methodologies, coupled with a robust background in project management or consulting in these fields.
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Identifying, prioritizing, structuring, and resolving a variety of complex business challenges, utilizing analytics and business acumen with market stakeholders.
- Defining and executing strategic cost-saving and transformation initiatives within Procurement and Supply Chain.
- Leading the implementation of quality enhancement and waste reduction projects across an international supply chain.
- Conducting process evaluations at distribution centers and supplier locations, ensuring compliance with company standards and waste reduction targets.
- Designing, refining, and deploying process, system, and tool enhancements to meet key performance indicators.
- Fostering a collaborative approach within the procurement community to support international category managers.
- Implementing benchmarking and best practice sharing to standardize sourcing and supply chain processes, optimizing product handling and minimizing food surplus.
- Overseeing the continuous improvement of methods, systems, and tools to enhance operational capacity and efficiency.
- Driving the adoption of automation and innovative practices in project documentation to ensure seamless project outcomes.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Engineering or Business.
- Over seven years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, and/or continuous improvement, preferably in a fast-paced, consumer-focused environment.
- Strong skills in data analysis, lean methodologies, problem-solving techniques, and managing complex improvement projects.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent certification is advantageous.
- Exceptional analytical abilities and operational modeling skills linked to strategic thinking.
- Proven track record of implementing metrics that enhance efficiency, assess performance, and reduce costs, combined with a proactive approach.
