Job Title: Senior Allied Health Professional

About the Role

This is a leadership position that requires expertise in clinical services, complex case management, assessment, counselling and/or therapy, and within mental health or relevant/related sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality clinical care to children and young people, their families/significant others, in accordance with evidenced-based practice, person-centred, trauma-informed and meet the requirements of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards, Legislative requirements, Agency Policy and relevant professional competencies.
  • Undertake clinical services through the provision of complex case management, assessment, and individual therapies, including the development and implementation of specialised treatment programs.
  • Work alongside innovative team leaders and consultant psychiatrists to develop new youth mental health services in Tasmania.
  • Lead and work with an amazing and diverse group of clinicians as part of the collaborative multidisciplinary team, including the provision of support and consultation to other team members as required.
  • Deliver comprehensive, developmentally appropriate, and trauma-informed biopsychosocial mental health assessments and therapies, and a range of evidenced-based psychological, creative and other therapies.
  • Provide clinical leadership within a designated program area, region and or statewide stream.
