Finance Transformation and Control Expert

We are looking for a highly skilled Finance professional to lead our efforts in reducing risk, driving controllership, and strengthening the Finance Control Framework through targeted initiatives and collaboration. This role is part of a global financial services group operating in multiple markets.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing diverse, highly visible Finance initiatives that deliver value to key stakeholders, including senior leadership. They will partner with teams globally to develop commercial technology-based capabilities and solutions integrated into finance processes while managing risk.

The ideal candidate will have a Commerce/Accounting degree and professional accounting qualifications, with 7+ years of post-qualification experience in Line 1 Operational Risk and Control in financial services. They will possess excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills to collaborate with and influence stakeholders across all levels and experience managing a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Finance initiatives to drive business outcomes and improve controls.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to design and implement technology-based solutions.
  • Manage and advise on Finance projects/initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and effective change management.
  • Provide valuable insights and recommendations to stakeholders on Finance-related matters.

Requirements:

  • Commerce/Accounting degree and professional accounting qualifications.
  • 7+ years of post-qualification experience in Line 1 Operational Risk and Control in financial services.
  • Proven experience in managing projects/initiatives with multiple workstreams and prioritizing tasks.
  • Experience with PowerBi, SharePoint, and other technology tools supporting automation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
