Are you dedicated to delivering outstanding customer support in a lively and distinctive setting? The Wagga Wagga City Council is seeking enthusiastic and approachable individuals for the role of Casual Customer Service Officer.
Compensation:
- Hourly rate of $35.54 plus superannuation.
- Casual positions available on an as-needed basis, with applications retained for future opportunities.
Primary Duties:
- Deliver exceptional customer service by welcoming and assisting patrons with inquiries, providing detailed information about facilities, services, and programs.
- Process admission fees, manage membership registrations, and handle program enrollments for various activities.
- Facilitate bookings and transactions for associated venues.
- Ensure a tidy and organized reception area.
- Manage phone inquiries and email communications promptly.
- Assist customers with retail sales in the swim shop.
- Support various programs held at the center as needed.
- Contribute to emergency response efforts when required.
- Uphold the safety and well-being of all visitors by enforcing facility policies.
- Engage in regular training sessions and team meetings.
- Perform additional reasonable tasks as directed by senior staff.
Qualifications:
- Current First Aid Certification.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification.
- NSW Working with Children Check Clearance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency and a willingness to learn new software.
- Prior experience in customer service is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Availability for AM and PM shifts throughout the week, including weekends.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety standards.
In compliance with Work Health and Safety regulations, successful candidates must provide proof of vaccination for Hepatitis A and B.
This role is subject to NSW Child Protection Legislation, requiring candidates to present a Working with Children Check (WWCC) number for verification.
