Project Design Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the project design and scope from tender through to practical completion.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain the Design Plan for the duration of the project.
- Ensure all elements of the design are coordinated between all design team members.
- Monitor the adequacy and effectiveness of design resources allocated to the project.
- Ensure all necessary reviews, verifications, and validations are planned and conducted, and the outcomes of these are incorporated into the design.
- Ensure the design conforms to all safety, environmental, construction, commissioning, and operating requirements.
- 4-year degree qualification to Bachelor status in Engineering.
- Engineering degree in Electrical or Civil/Structural preferred.
- Prior experience managing large utilities projects (High Voltage substation and/or transmission lines experience) will be highly regarded.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Strong communication skills (oral & written), including strong negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines, and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands.
