Part Time Mental Health Support Worker

This part-time role is an excellent opportunity to work in a rewarding and nationally recognized provider of mental health and carer services.
About The Carer Gateway ProgramThe program aims to help Carers access practical information and advice and connect with services in their local area.
Your New RoleIn this role, you will utilize your excellent communication skills to facilitate intake, assessment and planning services for carers accessing support provided by the Carer Gateway within Queensland.
Key Responsibilities:- Work with carers over the phone to access information, support and referrals relevant to their caring role
- Provide high-level customer service to ensure carers are listened to with patience and non-judgement
- Establish and implement agreed action plans with carers, creating an environment that is welcoming, real and inclusive
- Qualifications and/or experience working in community services, allied health or carer/family peer positions
- Highly desirable if you can speak Arabic or Vietnamese
- Appropriate IT skills
- Satisfactory National Police Records Check (within the last 12 months)
- Working with Children's Check/Blue Card
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Right to Work within Australia
- NDIS Workers Orientation Module Certificate – free online course
- Available to participate in out of hours activities as required
