Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Gas Portfolio Analyst to join our team.

This role involves managing the Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG) gas portfolio, including LNG feed.

The successful candidate will provide market insight and direction to optimise commercial opportunities in line with contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maximise the value of the APLNG portfolio by maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Drive daily optimisation through negotiating short-term transactions.
  • Monitor price, demand, weather and gas flows in the assigned gas market and devise strategic responses.
  • Manage and execute daily nominations of gas quantities and analyse nomination output files.
  • Short to medium term portfolio balancing.
  • Provide input to contract creation, gas nominations and process update.
  • Prepare reports and provide insights on market trends and operations.

A strong leader with commitment to high standards and ability to have tough conversations is required.

  • Prepared to work on a shift roster that can require availability at all hours.
  • Able to make decisions quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong strategic planning skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Advanced Excel, VBA and Power BI data visualisation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Prior experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Commerce or Economics is preferred.
