Mountain Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled maintenance specialist to join our team at Thredbo. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our passenger ropeways and other resort areas.

About the Role

This is a diverse role that requires strong mechanical and fabrication skills, as well as the ability to work at heights and in all types of weather. You will be working on a range of equipment and systems, including mechanical drives, hydraulic drives, and specialized assemblies.

  • Maintenance of passenger ropeways and other resort areas;
  • Assistance with the maintenance of mechanical systems and fault-finding;
  • Supporting maintenance activities across different resort areas;
  • Working at heights and in all types of weather;
  • Providing your own hand tools (specialist tools provided).
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A qualified fitter - Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent;
  • Current qualification in rigging and dogging (desirable);
  • Strong mechanical and fabrication skills;
  • Ability to work at heights and in all types of weather.
