As a graduate transport engineer, expect a dynamic and varied day working on project lifecycles, from preparing transport impact assessments and reports to designing road, intersection, and parking layouts.

Tasks may include:

  • Engaging in diverse engineering design tasks creating drawings, reports, presentations, and regulatory applications.
  • Developing designs through sketches, electronic models, and diagrams, and preparing documentation for various engineering phases.
  • Performing calculations, spreadsheet assessments, and intersection analysis using SIDRA Intersection.
  • Collecting and analyzing data, such as traffic, parking, and crash data, using tools like Excel and PowerBI.
  • Communicating with clients and maintaining ongoing contact.

About You
  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering (Civil), Urban Planning or equivalent is required.
  • Passion for learning and problem-solving is essential.
  • Eligibility to work in Australia and currently in your final year of degree or 1-2 years post graduation is necessary.
