Transport Design Position

We are seeking a skilled Transport Designer to join our team in Melbourne.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate and efficient transport design services, collaborating with other engineering disciplines, and contributing to the delivery of high-quality traffic and transport solutions.

  • Undertake site inspections and gather data on road environments, traffic patterns, and road safety observations.
  • Prepare comprehensive transport design plans, including concept layouts, swept path assessments, line marking, signage, and traffic signal design.
  • Design projects will include car park design, site access, internal road network design, intersection design, loading dock facilities, active travel infrastructure, public transport infrastructure, local area traffic management, and construction traffic management.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of relevant design standards, familiarity with CAD software, and excellent communication skills to present complex information to various stakeholders.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in traffic and transport design or engineering, preferably in a consulting environment or government agency.
  • Familiarity with current best practices, trends, and legislation in traffic and transport design.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage with clients, project teams, and authorities.
