About the Role

We are seeking a highly qualified Plant Operations Director to lead our Melbourne assembly plant. As a key member of our global leadership team, you will be responsible for managing all operations of the plant to meet quality, service level, and safety objectives.

The successful candidate will possess significant experience in manufacturing and/or logistics management, as well as demonstrated successful management in an international setting. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Operations Management or Engineering is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all daily operations, including assembly, production planning, warehouse, shipping, equipment & facility maintenance, logistics to customers & carrier performance
  • Optimize inter-company supply chain and materials management
  • Oversee quality control, ensure compliance with global guidelines and procedures
  • Oversee productivity analysis, cost control, resources, lead capacity, and materials planning
  • Generate and implement strategies to improve service levels, increase productivity and improve efficiency
  • Health and safety of all employees and compliance with local, regional, and international regulations in all facets of the operations
  • Provide meaningful reporting to senior management in a timely and efficient manner
  • Meet business plan objectives and set performance standards and goals for the team
Requirements
  • Significant experience in Manufacturing and/or Logistics Management
  • Demonstrated successful management in an international setting, global company
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Operations Management or Engineering
  • Knowledge of global supply chain
  • Strong people management skills, high level of organizational capabilities
  • Able to set high standards and motivate, coach his/her team members
  • Multicultural sensitivity and ability to communicate effectively across borders and cultures
  • Mechanical aptitude and curiosity
  • Computer literacy, Oracle E-Business Suite

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum depending on experience.
