Role Summary

Maintaining Mitchell Shire's open spaces enables staff to perform a variety of tasks daily, including pruning, planting, mulching, mowing, brush cutting, installing irrigation and cleaning main streets.

This role offers a range of tasks to challenge the successful applicant and help keep our open spaces looking their best.

About The Opportunity

This is a permanent, full-time position with a fortnightly RDO. Remuneration starts at $72,100 to $75,700 (Band 3) plus superannuation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform horticultural maintenance tasks in accordance with council policies and guidelines
  • Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of garden designs and layouts

The successful applicant will be highly motivated, passionate about horticulture and contribute positively to our team culture.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced horticulturist who can work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
