About the Role

The Central Intake and Referral Services (CIRS) plays a crucial role in Tasmania's mental health and alcohol and other drug (AOD) service landscape. As part of the Department of Health, CIRS is dedicated to streamlining access to appropriate mental health and AOD services, ensuring individuals receive the right care at the right time.

CIRS works collaboratively with public, private, and community sector providers, offering a point of entry to support service navigation. By integrating innovative referral pathways, including eReferral capabilities and the Medicare Mental Health Phone Service, CIRS enhances access, responsiveness, and continuity of care for all Tasmanians in need of mental health support.

As a key member of the CIRS team, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with people with lived experience and their families and friends, providing high-quality administrative support in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and administrative support to the CIRS team
  • Develop and maintain accurate and efficient administrative systems and processes
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination

You will be required to possess highly developed interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of office administration practices and Microsoft Office software is also essential.
