The Release Manager role is a critical position within our Technology team, responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of software releases to our customers. As a Release Manager, you will be part of a dynamic team that drives business growth and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the DevOps team to deliver high-quality software releases, ensuring timely and efficient deployment to production environments.
  • Coordinate with multiple squads across Originations and Servicing teams to schedule and deploy releases, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to our customers.
  • Work closely with application development teams, testing teams, and production teams to ensure that releases undergo rigorous quality controls, including testing and deployment stages.
  • Identify and mitigate risks that may impact release timelines, ensuring that the scope, schedule, and quality of the release are not compromised.
  • Lead Go-Live activities to deploy software successfully, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Manage risk reporting at the portfolio level, tracking issues, blockers, and incidents in production on a regular basis.
  • Own access to applications, granting Engineering team members the necessary permissions to perform their duties.
  • Coordinate with L2/L3 teams to build and publish dashboards for tracking customer transactions and managing issues.
  • Develop and implement improvements in configuration management and software development methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Own the patch management process, ensuring that application vulnerabilities are addressed promptly.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • 10+ years of experience in project management, release management, or a related field, with a strong background in technology delivery.
  • Proven track record of driving continuous improvement and process excellence.
  • Experience with Agile and adaptive delivery models, as well as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CD/CI) pipelines and tooling.
  • Working knowledge of managing code repositories, such as GitHub, and experience with DevOps and Agile methodologies.
  • Expertise in software development lifecycle, team management, and traditional agile methodologies, including Scrum, Waterfall, or Kanban.
  • Good understanding of application infrastructure, system architecture, and operating systems.
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA and Confluence, as well as crafting and measuring success with OKRs and KPIs.
  • Previous banking domain experience is highly desirable.
