Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Optical Dispenser to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional eye care and eyewear styling advice to patients, as well as dispensing lenses and frames according to prescriptions provided by Optometrists.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, basic mathematical skills, and excellent communication skills. They will also be able to build trusting relationships with clients and work effectively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert eye care and eyewear styling advice to patients and prospective clientele.
  • Dispense lenses and frames according to prescriptions provided by Optometrists.
  • Build meaningful relationships with clients to encourage repeat business.
  • Assist with store opening and closing procedures.
Requirements
  • 1+ years experience in optical or 2+ years retail sales experience.
  • Previous experience with store opening and closing duties.
  • Strong attention to detail and basic mathematical skills.
  • Confident, clear, and effective communication skills.
  • Able to build trusting and respectful relationships.
  • Self-motivated, positive, and friendly demeanor.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Optical Dispensing Certificate IV (highly desirable but not essential).
