About the Opportunity

KBR is a leading infrastructure company that delivers high-quality projects across Australia. We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our team in Adelaide, working on a range of civil infrastructure projects, including defence and civil infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake civil engineering design, calculations, and technical reports/specifications
  • Work within multidisciplinary teams to manage and deliver engineering projects to specified and relevant standards
  • Manage engineering design teams to deliver project design outcomes and scope to deliver work within agreed budgets and schedules
  • Liaise directly with the Project Manager, Design Manager, and Client to provide regular project updates and prepare technically sound and well-written proposals and reports
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, both internal and external
  • Collaborate with local and national teams to deliver engineering projects
  • Review designs and documentation prepared by others and verify their compliance to relevant standards and design guidelines and project-specific requirements
  • Provide direction, mentoring, and support to the project team and Civil Discipline Group
  • Assist in preparing bids and tender proposals
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
  • CPEng preferred
  • Experience working within an engineering consulting environment
  • Experience working in a broad range of infrastructure projects within a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Previous experience in Civil Infrastructure for projects in one or more of the defence, building civil, and transport sectors is essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with relevant standards and design guidelines to the civil engineering discipline
  • The ability to obtain chartership within a reasonable agreed time frame
  • A practical knowledge and commitment to Health and Safety
  • Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a defence security clearance
