Vet Clinic Operations Manager

The clinic leader oversees the daily operations of the veterinary practice, ensuring a seamless experience for both clients and staff. This is a key leadership position that requires strong leadership, team management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, knowledge of veterinary practice operations and industry regulations, business acumen and financial management skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of veterinary professionals and support staff
    • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture that emphasizes exceptional patient care and client satisfaction
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the clinic, including scheduling, inventory management, and facility maintenance
    • Ensure compliance with veterinary standards and regulations
  • Client Relations:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a positive experience and addressing any concerns promptly
    • Implement strategies to enhance client retention and satisfaction
  • Financial Management:
    • Work closely with the regional management team to achieve financial targets and budgets
    • Monitor and manage clinic financial performance, including invoicing and accounts receivable
  • Marketing and Community Engagement:
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement promotional strategies to attract new clients
    • Engage with the local community to build awareness of the clinic's services

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing (desirable but not essential)
  • Proven experience in a managerial role or senior nurse role within the veterinary industry (1-2 years at least is ideal)
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of veterinary practice operations and industry regulations
  • Business acumen and financial management skills
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering outstanding client service
