Planning Administrator
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled administrative professional to join our team as a Planning Administrator. This role will provide administrative support to our strategic and statutory planning teams.
The successful candidate will be responsible for registering incoming planning, building, and subdivision applications, referring them to internal departments and external authorities, and performing general administrative duties such as processing mail, filing, organizing meetings and site visits, and arranging mailouts.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about administration and has strong organizational skills with attention to detail. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Strategic and Statutory Planning teams;
- Register incoming planning, building, and subdivision applications;
- Refer planning, building, and subdivision applications to internal departments and external authorities;
- Perform general administrative duties, including processing mail, filing, organizing meetings and site visits, and arranging mailouts.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated strong administration skills and experience in a busy service-focused office environment;
- Demonstrated highly developed customer service experience in related roles;
- Ability to prioritize tasks and make sound judgements between urgent and important work;
- Well-developed organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail;
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office and Internet;
- Well-developed interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills;
- Ability to be flexible and work as part of a team;
- Understanding of planning and building-related legislation and statutory processes is desirable but not essential;
- Current driver's license.
Benefits:
$34.02 to $35.84 per hour plus superannuation.
