Health and community recruitment specialists are partnering with a leading provider of forensic rehabilitation treatment services across Victoria to recruit clinicians passionate about starting or growing their careers in this field.

The role involves working with service users who are predominantly sexual/violent offenders currently in custody across Melbourne's prison system, including:

  • Screening participants for the program
  • Assessment of suitable and available treatment and programs
  • Treatment programs for service users, including one-on-one and group sessions
">

This is not a case management position, and the workweek will be flexibly structured while providing exposure to various interventions throughout the rehabilitation life cycle. If you enjoy a mix of assessment and therapeutic practice, this role may suit your skills.

">Requirements">

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A qualification in psychology or a related field (e.g., social work, counseling)
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly those with complex needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
