Supply Chain Strategist Role

The Supply Chain Strategist is a crucial position that plays a key role in ensuring optimal resource allocation at the best possible cost.

Our organization requires an individual who can engage and influence internal stakeholders to gather business plan information and convert it into forecasts for procurement of materials and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop Demand Plans that incorporate forecast requirements for materials and services
  2. Review and make recommendations to forecasting methodologies and algorithms to reduce forecast error
  3. Provide materials and services capacity constraints to upstream functions as required
  4. Continuously improve replenishment and other supply chain tools
  5. Build reports that add value to the team and improve overall efficiency by understanding end-user requirements
  6. Understand contract management and material requirements to support the team in times of resource shortages
  7. Influence and educate internal stakeholders in Commercial principles, constraints, and requirements to ensure ongoing improvements in forecast accuracy

Experience Required:

  • 5 years + demand planning experience
  • Strong influencing, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Conceptual and analytical skills
  • Degree qualified in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain, Finance, or related discipline
