Special Education Teacher

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a skilled educator with expertise in special education to join our dynamic team.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced teacher with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, individualised teaching and learning programs for students with diverse needs. The successful candidate will be able to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that caters to the social, emotional, and behavioural needs of students.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Approval to teach special education and/or experience teaching students K-6 with behavioural difficulties, autism, mild to moderate intellectual disabilities, and emotional disturbance.
  • Expertise in developing and delivering high-quality, individualised teaching and learning programs that are engaging and inspiring, in a multi-stage classroom.
  • Proven leadership and/or experience in special education or support, working collaboratively as an integral member of the leadership team to embed a culture of high expectations, continuous improvement, and innovation.
  • Demonstrated outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, resulting in the building of authentic relationships and engagement with students, staff, the community, and external agencies.
