Job Title

Cable & Wireless (Seychelles) Limited is seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Infrastructure and Data Centre Engineer.

The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of internet connections, cabling, virtualization platforms, and storage area networks. They must also possess strong work ethics, be reliable and dependable, confident, and a trustworthy person.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing, deploying, and maintaining infrastructure using the latest technology.
  • Ensuring that all available systems function efficiently and faultlessly.
  • Managing the security of systems in-house and managing application information transfers.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working in a similar role.

PREFERRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Virtualization - VMware vSphere / EXSI
  • Virtual Desktop Infrastructure / VMWare Horizon
  • Basic Networking experience including LANs, WANs, and VPNs
  • Backup systems and solutions - Veeam
  • Cloud-based systems – Office 365, Azure, AWS
  • Identity & Access Management
  • Good understanding of Datacenter Operations
  • Datacenter infrastructure and facilities experience
